Antalya Old Town district is an important tourist point containing ancient ruins. These ruins are the fortifications surrounding the area and part of the harbour mine located in the Inner Harbour.

The walls that surround the region from the inside and out are common artifacts belonging to the Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk and Ottoman periods. There are up to 3000 houses within the walls in the area. The characteristic structures of the buildings not only give an idea of the architectural history of Antalya, but also best reflect the lifestyle, traditions and Customs in the region.

Today, the buildings in this area, which are an important entertainment center, are used as boutique hotels, restaurants, bars, cafes, hostels, shopping places, gift shops and houses.

Hadrian’s Gate, which is located on Atatürk Street and has been restored, is one of the most beautiful ancient monuments of Antalya. After entering through this gate, important historical monuments such as the Fluted Minaret Mosque, Keyhüsrev Madrasa, Karatay Madrasa, Iskele Mosque, Tekeli Mahmut Pasha Mosque will meet you within the walls.
